About The Pink House

"The Pink House" is a Victorian style home that was built in 1901. It has been remodeled several times since then, and the interior had all new paint and fresh carpet installed upstairs in early 2017. The downstairs features high ceilings, crown molding, and lots of natural light. The majority of the upstairs was long ago converted from attic space and the partial diagonal ceilings and lots of skylights give character to the upstairs bedrooms! Despite having the partial angled ceilings, the upstairs rooms are quite spacious and have plenty of floor space with greater than 6 foot head room clearance. The ground floor has beautiful 10 foot ceilings with crown molding. The house features three full bathrooms (one newly added in early 2020), and a detached garage. Unlike some of the other lodging opportunities near SJSU (dorms included), The Pink House is a hybrid family/communal/friendly living situation. You can do what you want provided you remain respectful of the other housemates and the common areas. We try to keep overnight guest to 2ish night a week out of respect for the other tenants and to try to keep the house a peaceful place. Extended guest visits are welcome with prior approval/heads up to the other tenants.
